“As we celebrate the 2023 International Youth Day, Milestone Agenda for Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative, MAFYEDI proudly joins hands with young individuals in Nigeria and across the globe to commemorate this significant occasion.

“This year’s theme, ‘Green Skills: Towards a Sustainable Development,’ resonates deeply with our commitment to witnessing a generation of environmentally-conscious and empowered youth.

“In a world grappling with pressing environmental challenges, it is imperative that our youth are equipped with the skills and knowledge to steer us towards a more sustainable future. The need of the hour is to channel the energy and potential of our youth into innovative solutions that address environmental concerns while fostering economic growth.

“Our organization acknowledges the pivotal role that the youth play in shaping the destiny of our nation. We therefore call on government at all levels and leaders across sectors to invest more in the education and empowerment of young people with green skills that will enable them navigate this changing environment.

“By focusing on ‘Green Skills,’ we aim to cultivate a new wave of environmentally responsible leaders who possess the expertise to champion eco-friendly initiatives, conserve natural resources, and contribute to the well-being of their communities.

“Through targeted programmes, workshops, and partnerships, Milestone Agenda for Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative is committed to nurturing green entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and conservation efforts among our youth.

“By imparting practical skills and knowledge, we aspire to create a generation that not only understands the significance of sustainability but actively participates in its implementation.

“This International Youth Day, let us unite under the banner of ‘Green Skills’ and pledge to empower our youth with the tools they need to build a greener, more sustainable Nigeria. Our organization stands firm in its dedication to fostering a brighter future where our youth are the driving force behind positive change, environmental stewardship, and inclusive growth.”
